The Renaissance Hunt V
(3rd blog post)
1-30 September, 2015
To His Excellency, the Lord High Treasurer
William Cecil, Baron Burghley
Herewith do I make a final accounting in the matter of Her Royal Majesty’s proclamation, and the goods provided by the merchants of the realm. The final preparations for the hunt have been completed with a Faire now in progress for the month of September. In addition to the many fine goods set for sale at the Faire, there are free trinkets and prizes strewn about the Faire (disguised as acorns!) for the clever and attentive fairgoers to find.
A total of 72 craftspeople have place goods of considerable quality in their shops across the realm in hidden gargoyle objects for the amusement of Her Majesty’s subjects to search out. Having earlier provided to you illustrations of some of those goods, I attach more illustrations from those merchants who have seen fit to provide them to our care.
Having now fully discharged those duties in the matter with which I was tasked, I shall now repair to the Faire and hunt for some jolly fun.
Your most humble servant,
Taightphiste Moneypenny. Clerk of the Ledger
